On 26 June, the Thai power couple shared images of their dreamy proposal on social media. Although it has been an open secret for a long time, excited fans couldn’t control their emotions when the news aired and showered them with love.

February 2012: The Both-Newyear love story begins
Well-known Thai actors in their own right, Both and Newyear started dating in February 2012. Out magazine states that they first met via social media where Newyear initiated a conversation with Both by commenting on one of his Instagram posts.
The now-deleted post showed Both holding some macaroons and Newyear wanting to know where to get them. When neither of them could figure out the way, Both offered to take him there. This paved the course of a fairytale romance.

Since their Instagram interaction, the two actors have been extremely open about each other. From taking trips to going out for meals and even spending quality time with each other, both of their social media pages are flooded with mushy images which prove how much they are in love.

2017: First fan meeting together
The following year, they held their first fan meeting together. While details of this are scarce, according to a promotional video on the BothNewyear Forever fan page, the actors shared the event was titled Sweet Macaroons and offered fans an opportunity to know them better.
Moving forward, the power couple hosted several fan meets, giving their followers an insight into their work, life and journey. For instance, in 2019, they held their first fan meeting in Jakarta on 23 March.

Both Newyear and Both have been pretty open about their relationship and do not shy away from expressing themselves on social media. Their photos from exotic vacations, fashion campaigns and walking hand in hand are so common that it is hard to imagine a time when they weren’t together.
On 14 July 2019, they struck a cute image with light sticks when they attended the BLACKPINK world tour in Bangkok. The actors looked dapper in casual outfits and white sneakers.

Newyear took to his X account to share a candid image, mentioning how it has been nearly a decade that they are together and still manage to keep the spark alive. He ends the caption with a playful question: “When will you ask me to marry you?”
January 2023: Both Nattapong Chinsoponsap and Newyear Kitiwhut Sawutdimilin released their first music single
For those uninitiated, besides being an actor, while Both is a dentist, VJ and model, Newyear is an emcee and internet idol. In 2023, they rang in the new year by dropping their first single “Too Cute”.
The sweet music video portrays them as young boys who meet by chance and friends play Cupid to get them together. The video has received over 223k views at the time of writing.
September 2023: Are they really engaged?

This post on 13 September 2023 raised the question if they are officially engaged. A slew of images from their London trip together shows the two exchanging rings in, what appears to be, a culmination of their 11 years of dating.
Both of them looked sharp in smart formals as they seemingly announced their engagement. Newyear even captioned the post on Instagram: “From the very first day, say yes 13.9,” hinting at the 13 September engagement date. He took to X as well to share more images and wrote “I love you forever let’s be together until we die apart [sic], i say yes from the 1st day we meet.”
An overjoyed Both expressed his happiness on Instagram saying, “I’m yours 🥰 No refunds !!! Happy Anniversary my ❤️”
2024: The proposal for marriage
On 26 June 2024, Both and Newyear took a major step in their relationship and announced the marriage proposal.
