Critics Consensus
With a strong script, stylish direction, and powerful performances from its well-rounded cast, X-Men: First Class is a welcome return to form for the franchise.
Jarrah E Hodge Bitch Media The acting, special effects, and writing were excellent, except possibly the two times Xavier tries to hit on women in bars by saying they have "groovy mutation[s]". Frederick T Great movie - Magneto and proffessor X really carries this movie to the level it reached. I must say I especially enjoyed the mentor/apprentice duel, which gave the film substance. Good fight scenes and involvement of multiple characters. Very cringey and bad ending... I felt that they could have made it more believable, like at least make proffesor x paralyzed in the more exciting part of the battle. Rated 4/5 Stars •Rated 4 out of 5 stars07/27/24 Full Review Pedro F Excelente, um dos melhores filmes de origem que já assisti, porém acho que faltou um pouco mais de criatividade com o poder dos mutantes, 9/10.97%🍅 Rated 5/5 Stars •Rated 5 out of 5 stars07/19/24 Full Review Griffith J A strong focus on character development at its foundation. An awesome setting with a great start & massive & emotional climax. The sound & direction has a flashy style. But the formula hasn’t been cracked to make it consistently good. Azazel appears in X-Men: First Class, portrayed by Jason Flemyng. Similarly to his comics counterpart, this version is a member of the Hellfire Club of Russian origin who wields a sword and works as an assistant to the group's leader, Sebastian Shaw.
For finding that perfect, rare balance between character-driven human drama and no-holds-barred popcorn action spectacle, 'Days of Future Past' deserves my 10-star rating (which is a first for me: I've never given 10-stars to a comic-book movie).
This visual aspect of Rogue's appearance has been consistently portrayed in every adaptation of the character, however, in the 2000 X-Men live action film, Rogue is shown to initially have all brown hair, developing the permanent white streak after being forced to absorb a significant amount of power from Magneto.
The film is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the X-Men, the fifth mainline installment of the X-Men film series, a sequel to X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) and X-Men: First Class (2011), a follow-up to The Wolverine (2013), and the seventh installment overall.
Before linking up with Weapon X to gain his adamantium-laced skeleton and claws, Logan is possessed by a version of himself from an alternate future in 1973 to change history during the events of Days of Future Past. His body is 141 years old at the time.
Summary. Logan is set approximately five years after X-Men: Days of Future Past, maintaining the established continuity. Logan's meta elements and standalone plot may give the impression of a separate timeline within the X-Men universe, despite comments to the contrary.
Known as “Mutant Alpha” in the storyline, the Phoenix's powers awoke in Jean Grey after Havoc killed her. Mister Sinister managed to capture her, and brainwash her into joining his team. She joined his Sinister Six and became an enemy of the X-Men. With the Dark Phoenix powers, she became an unstoppable foe yet again.
The whole mutant cure storyline could've been fascinating, but the movie never seemed interested in unpacking the implications of it too deeply. Meanwhile, the Dark Phoenix saga in the comics is famous for being a sprawling, slow-burn story, yet "The Last Stand" felt perfectly comfortable making it this film's B-story.
Azazel is a major antagonist of the 2011 superhero film X-Men: First Class, the fifth installment of the X-Men film series, and a minor antagonist in the 2024 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Deadpool & Wolverine. He is a member of the Hellfire Club and has the power of teleportation.
Identity. Many fans of the series believe Red X's identity to be Jason Todd, who served as Robin after Dick Grayson, the current Robin in the series, left Batman.
